June 2025 Peter Email Yes people were indeed free when phones had wires and indeed are very chained now that phones are cordless and portable cells. I surely loved that I lived when i did and was raised the way i did outdoors and free of streaming, vcrs, computers, phones, video games etc. Would I play piano or guitar or love trees and the outdoors otherwise? Fortunately I don't watch cat videos at 3am use Facebook, Instagram, twitter, x or whatever the hell only fans is. Its certainly big brother btu if they find my life interesting and worth tracking they can knock themselves out. Upside is that if they detect a suicide bomber or such quicker then yahoo of course. Bets show ever on surveillance is called CAPTURE a us/english co production I think.
I just realized something that’s been sitting with me for years—quietly ironic and maybe a little tragic. Back in school, I had a literacy teacher devoted to political correctness long before it became the norm. She rarely pushed it openly; instead, she used favored students as vessels to voice the “right” ideas, supporting them quietly. If someone said something unapproved, they were corrected. But if a favored student made sweeping, moralizing statements, she nodded, smiled, and gave them the floor. As Milton wrote in Paradise Lost , “The mind is its own place, and in itself / Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.” In her classroom, the mind was shaped to favor one place—her ideology. She knew her English literature well. We read the canon—Chaucer, Milton, Spenser, Shakespeare—and she treated it like sacred ground. Yet she refused to let us wrestle with those texts honestly, preferring group discussions that rewarded moral performances, not genuine learning. It reminded me...

Lesson 2 Script: The Chemical Structure of Diltiazem

Teacher (T) : "Alright class, today we're going to dive into the fascinating world of chemistry by exploring the structure of a drug called diltiazem. Think of diltiazem as a superhero with a secret identity hidden in its chemical structure. By the end of this lesson, you'll be able to unmask its true nature and understand how it works its magic in the human body." T : "Let's start with the basics. Imagine diltiazem as a complex puzzle, with each piece representing an atom or a group of atoms. The entire puzzle is summarized by its chemical formula, C22H26N2O4S. This is like saying our superhero has 22 Carbon pieces, 26 Hydrogen pieces, 2 Nitrogen pieces, 4 Oxygen pieces, and 1 Sulfur piece." Sample Test Question 1: What is the chemical formula of diltiazem? Answer: C22H26N2O4S T : "Now, let's put these puzzle pieces together to see the big picture. Picture the benzene ring as the sturdy shield of our superhero. It's a hexagonal ring, li...
Dune is not science fantasy in the Star Wars sense. It's deeply speculative, internally consistent, and grounded in logic , even when it includes extraordinary elements like prescience. ✅ Why Dune is not "science fantasy" (in the fairy tale sense): No magic : Everything (spice, sandworms, Bene Gesserit powers) has rational explanations. Future sight isn’t mystical — it’s evolutionary and drug-enhanced perception. Religions are sociological constructs, not supernatural truths. Psychic powers like the Voice are biological training-based. No impossible physics : No FTL travel, no teleportation — only folding space via guild navigators using spice-induced multidimensional awareness. Frank Herbert called it "anthropological science fiction" , not fantasy. 📚 So where does Dune sit? Label Fit Why Hard sci-fi ✅/⚠️ It’s too speculative for “hard” but logically coherent. Speculative epic sci-fi ✅ Grand scale, deep political and ecological...
